Since this cemetery map was first created, our Branch has also developed a broader Niagara Heritage Map to help researchers, local historians, and heritage travellers explore more of Niagara’s history in one place. In addition to open, historic, and family cemeteries, the Niagara Heritage Map includes Welland Canal sites, War of 1812 sites, historical plaque locations, Niagara museums, and other heritage places across the region. It is designed to help connect family names, records, and research leads to the real communities and landscapes where Niagara’s history unfolded. If you are using the cemetery map for genealogy research or planning a cemetery visit, we encourage you to also explore the Niagara Heritage Map as a wider companion resource.
